Position Summary

The Prescott Materials Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is a vital part of the Plant Staff. The Materials Manager manages a team of scheduling professionals to ensure the flow of people, material and information delivers the highest service at the lowest total possible cost. The individual will develop, monitor, and maintain the tools, processes, and employee capabilities to deliver world class daily performance in the areas of planning, scheduling, capacity management, and end-to-end flow.


  • Aligns personal and team goals to strategy deployment and zero loss journey deliverables aligned to President level deployed strategy
  • Utilizing defined standard work outlining daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks, along with employee capability matrix - Manages Master Production Scheduler and Detail Schedulers
  • Reviews and accepts Master Production Schedule from Corporate Planning Team and facilitates completion of capacity statements with responsibility for their accuracy and aligned deployment through SAP BOMs, Routings, and Workcenters
  • Maintains current and doable schedules at all plant workcenter operations linked to hour by hour boards and OEE2
  • Reconciles all plant schedules daily with cross functional team to deliver world class schedule adherence
  • Maintains all scheduling data using SAP as source of supply and demand truth and reconciles any discrepancies with appropriate functional owners
  • Maintains doable schedules at all resources while including:
    • Customer orders
    • Inventory policy
    • Trials and development runs
    • New product introduction
    • Balance on and off
    • Capital planning
    • Etc.
  • Ownership of schedule adherence, service, inventory, E&O
  • Maintains business continuity plans and escalates service and cost issues as appropriate for visibility and resolution support


  • Bachelors Degree
  • APICS certification
  • MRP Experience with strong preference for SAP
  • Detailed scheduling and Master scheduling experience required
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Preferred, but not required: database query and report building skills i.e. SQL
