Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and planning the manufacturing processes in the plant and will work closely with all internal departments to achieve production goals while building relationships with external resources to upgrade and enhance the manufacturing processes and resolve issues in timely manner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Research new manufacturing processes to move the current state process to a more optimum future state.
  • Investigate issues and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor.
  • Research improvements for current standards by observing and monitoring the process.
  • Develop standards for processes of the company product line. Include standards for equipment, tooling, materials and standard work.
  • Determine and design tooling with quality specifications and cost justification.
  • Design and optimize efficiency by observing and analyzing equipment layout and production methods.
  • Research and recommend alternate process approaches for the manufacturing process, equipment as needed.
  • Work with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers on process, equipment and quality improvements.
  • Develop project plan, track project status, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Team-player, self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced team environment.

Qualifications

BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience Level – 5+ years experience.

Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCad.

Knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Background in rubber mixing and calendaring is preferred.

Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis is a must.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
