Position Summary

​FSBP is looking to hire a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) for Innovative Products and Services. This teammate will report to the Director of Innovative Products and Services, and will be responsible for Firestone Building Products profitable growth with key accounts in the roofing channel. The position will be based out of the corporate office in Nashville, TN.



 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements sales plans that include market analysis, account opportunities, short and long term goals, strategic initiatives and measurable outcomes. This includes:
  • Financial decisions as they impact both FSBP and the customer's business
  •  Sales and Marketing Programs 
  • Coordination with Regions and the Corporate Accounts Team 
  • Creates and sustains key influential relationships with customer decision maker's 
  • Understands completely the strategic account's business and the critical measures that drive the account. This includes: 
  • Collaborates with the customer to acquire strategic information critical to their business 
  • Works with all levels of the customer's organization to understand the issues and assess opportunities 
  • Creates holistic action plan for FSBP to align against these strategies 
  • Ensures action and responsiveness to the customer by taking responsibility for the exposure the customer has with FSBP. This includes: 
  • Mobilizes and leads the organization to respond to customer needs 
  • Facilitates the organization's involvement with the customer 
  • Includes other departments where their expertise can benefit the customer 
  • Monitors and consistently communicates to appropriate FSBP personnel: business trends, purchasing patterns, trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics. 
  • Orchestrates the organization's resources to maximize sales opportunities with strategic customers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have College Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all FSBP associates, customers, subsidiaries, agents and sales force.
  • Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of proven sales/marketing or sales management experience.
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and competition and develop strategic responses to opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential.
  • Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel 50% - 60% of the time.
  • Must reside or be able to relocate to the Nashville area.

Preferred: 

  • Must have College Degree, or equivalent work experience
