Position Summary

Maintenance Manager Position is a role that requires multi-disciplinary experience and leads the Engineering function for the Plant supporting equipment design, modifications, and the Maintenance Department operation.  This position will serve as the lead for all capital projects, maintenance functions as well as a key contributor to process improvements and Lean Manufacturing.  The position also serves as the key technical resource for the manufacturing operation focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution for electronic/mechanical equipment issues.  


Responsibilities include: Safety, quality, teammate relations, maintenance and equipment performance, and housekeeping 

Details include but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the plant safety efforts. Serving as a key resource for safety related issues with the goal of meeting/exceeding OSHA requirements for a safe workplace. 
  • Identify Capital needs with respect to production, environmental, safety, building & grounds and be responsible for them from inception to completion.  Includes estimating and funds procurements, specifying equipment, working with vendors and outside contractors, supervising onsite work, and scheduling with the plant production.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the Maintenance Department in all aspects of their work.
  • Maintain Plant manufacturing operation. Focus on safe, efficient, reliable maintenance and operation of equipment to ensure the production of quality products.
  • PLC troubleshooting: (Allen Bradley PLC's & Ethernet Networking)
  • Able to read ladder logic
  • Reviewing equipment to determine upgrades and replacing obsolete controls, Lean continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing principles etc.


  • 4 year Bachelor degree in Engineering or a 4 year degree in Industrial or Electrical Technology.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience evaluating existing systems and implementing continuous improvements in a plant environment
  • Lean Manufacturing training and application experience in manufacturing
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Expert Certification
  • Multi-site continuous improvement leadership experience in one of the process industries (building materials, chemicals, consumer goods, etc.)
  • Experience managing productivity/ cost savings programs and delivering on savings targets
  • Expert with Minitab, SAP, trend analysis and data historian systems
  • Strong collaboration, influence, and change management skills
