    Position Summary



    This person will oversee a team to perform all of the physical, analytical, mechanical testing for Firestone Building Products R&D sites including new test innovation.  They will also be responsible for all of the facility management items such as safety, industrial hygiene, maintenance. ​






    1. Understanding of lab management software for order entry, electronic notebooks, knowledge management software, chemical inventory.
    2. Maintenance and development of budget and for a multi-facility lab.
    3. Maintenance and calibration of experimental equipment and the facility.
    4. Relationship with third party testing labs for outsources and temporary staffing.
    5. Support of the overall company strategy and the tactics to deliver on the strategic goal through management of the laboratories.  Identifying equipment to meet company strategies. This includes managing the procurement, installation and safe startup of the new equipment.
    6. Maintenance and improvements R&D quality systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.​







    1. This person should have a minimum bachelor degree in engineering or sciences (preferably mechanical, chemical, or construction technology).
    2. This person should have at least 5 years experience working in a laboratory environment with management experienced preferred.
    3. This person should have experience in chemical industry, or rubber industry, or construction materials industry.
    4. Proven Ability to Build and Lead Successful Teams
    5. Proficiency in LEAN Methodology and Culture is preferred.
    6. Must be highly proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and Sharepoint.
