    Position Summary

    We are seeking a qualified candidate to become a Maintenance Technician at our Salt Lake City, UT rigid foam insulation manufacturing facility.  This is a second shift position that works Monday -Friday 3pm-11pm  approximately,  weekend work may be required at times and scheduling is subject to change based on business demands.

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a qualified candidate to perform duties associated with the installation, repair, modification and preventative maintenance of electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic driven production equipment with an emphasis on electrical and PLC systems.

    Qualifications

    • Have basic mechanical aptitude and good problem solving skills.
    • The ability to work independently with minimal instruction and supervision at times
    • Have the desire to improve the ability of the equipment/process
    • Must have basic knowledge of power transmission, pneumatics and hydraulics to help maintain systems
    • Must have solid welding and torching skills. This includes knowledge of various metals, setup of welder and torch set, the use of gases (inert and flammable), and troubleshooting of this equipment to use in a safe and proper manner.
    • Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
    • Understand and use basic and complex math for measurement, figuring ratios', weight, speed. Cycle time, temperature, pressure conversions and vessel volumes.

    • Must have solid reading, writing and communication skills
    • Have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
    • Must possess the desire and ability to learn new skills, attend training classes and improve their abilities
    • Must satisfactorily apply ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment to include: Pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission using basic methods with general shop tools and equipment. Some examples of this are; rebuilding gearboxes, pneumatic manifold switch assemblies, pumps and blowers.
    • Must be able to understand and maintain heating controls and Thermo-couples.
    • Possess a clear understanding and ability to repair all pumps and blowers, web guide and tensioning equipment.
    • Must be able to work with and troubleshoot 480V systems, control circuits
    • Have basic knowledge of PLC controls and variable frequency drives
    • Must have 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or equivalent environment or a combination of relevant education and experience preferred
    • Must have a high school diploma
