    Position Summary

    ​The Building System Advisor is responsible for responding to all technical inquiries from Firestone Licensed applicators, building owners and design professionals in the assigned sales region.


    • Provide phone and e-mail technical support to Firestone, GenFlex and Gaco licensed roofing contractors, architects, building owners, sales reps and others.
    • Review PINs (Pre-Installation Notifications) from licensed roofing contractors for warranty compliance. 
    • Assist licensed roofing contractors and sales reps with review of roofing assemblies for warranty compliance. 
    • Look up fire and wind ratings for Firestone and GenFlex roofing assemblies online. 
    • Write confirmation letters to licensed roofing contractors detailing the assembly necessary to meet job specific warranty coverage and code requirements such as fire rating and wind uplift resistance. 
    • Assist licensed roofing contractors and sales reps by reviewing proposed roofing system designs and installation details.
    • Respond to customer inquiries regarding their project paperwork approval, roof inspections, and warranty status. 
    • Maintain database of job and contractor related documentation. Other job duties as assigned


    • Bachelors degree and 3 years of construction/roofing experience or a high school diploma and 10 years of experience 
    • Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications, CAD experience a plus 
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 
    • Strong time management, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills are required
