    Position Summary

    The Firestone Building Products, Beech Grove, Indiana plant is recruiting for production line Coater on the D shift. The Beech Grove location operates 24/7, with Teammates scheduled on 12 hour shifts.  We offer immediate eligibility for medical insurance at the start of employment.

    Responsibilities

    A qualified candidate will:

    • Maintain a safe, clean working environment
    • Possess a good knowledge of all areas of the line, in particular the dip tanks, granule and sand systems and areas directly monitored by the coater
    • Keep records of raw materials used during the shift
    • Able to read a tape measure
    • Look for irregular appearance of the finished product identifing scrap and or seconds material
    • Assist in other areas for the production line as needed.
    • Complete a forklift inspection checklist at the beginning of each shift, prior to use.
    • Ensure all equipment is inspected and operating correctly.
    • General housekeeping duties and disposal of empty packaging material including damaged pallets

    High School Diploma

    Able to read, write and speak English.

    Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

    Possess forklift experience, preferred.

    Possess manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical processing operation.

     

    Physical Requirements

    Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.

    Able to stand, sit, and/or walk a majority of the shift.
