An Electronic Tech must possess knowledge of installation methods, plant processes, equipment and layouts, and a working knowledge of federal, state, and local electrical regulations, laws, and codes, which apply to activities performed at the Wellford Plant.
This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is accountable for work performed to repair, modify, install, start-up, test and calibrate, debug and troubleshoot electronic and programmable control systems.
The duties of the Electronics Technician are described below. In addition to those specified duties, the ET is responsible for general maintenance duties similar to those described next.
General Maintenance Responsibilities
The Electronics Tech must have the capability to perform the following duties:
Associate Degree Electrical/Electronic Technology or equivalent
Electronic Tech teammate must pursue and receive additional education and training in the following subjects:
Basic OSHA safe practices
National Electric Code basics
NFPA70E Arc Flash and Shock Hazard safety practices
Ideally, individuals would have 3 to 5 years Experience in industrial environment
