    Position Summary

    The Firestone Building Products, Florence, KY plant is looking for Production A Operator on 2rd shift.  Operator A position operates the computerized control panel, responsible for the product data, standard operating procedures for each product ran, pour table, controls start up and shut down of production runs.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and monitor the computerized control panel inputing the specs needed for each product
    • Removing and add pour heads to the pour table for set-up and tear down
    • Operates the pour table including set up and tear down
    • Monitors the Laminator Operations, assuring process is running to the quality standard. 
    • Troubleshoots quality issues and production equiptment issues
    • Works closely with shift supervisor and quality to assure process is running correctly producing top quality products
    • Focus on safety, quality, 5'S and Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Using hand tools to remove ISO from tools
    • Lock-out Tag-out for specific machinery

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma 
     

    Skill Requirements

    Computer knowledge 

    Ability to make decission using training knowledge following specs

    Able to read, write and speak English.

    Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

    Possess forklift experience, preferred.

    Possess manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical processing operation

    Must be able to work overtime as needed

    Willing to cross-train and rotate to other positions as needed

    Must have good attention to detail

    Must have a good attendance record

    Must have a strong safety record

    Work in changing temperature environment (hot or cold)

    Physical Requirements

    Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.

    Able to stand, sit, and/or walk a
