    Position Summary

    We are seeking a qualified candidate to become a Maintenance Technician at our Salt Lake City, UT rigid foam insulation manufacturing facility.  This is a third shift position that works Monday -Friday 10pm-6:30am ,  weekend work may be required at times and scheduling is subject to change based on business demands.

    Responsibilities

    Troubleshoot and problem solve to maintain continuous operation of plant equipment and building services

    • Visually inspects, diagnoses, and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. 
    • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. 
    • Prioritize calls and equipment repairs for optimum plant uptime.
    • Conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment for early diagnosis of machine trouble. 
    • Fabricate and weld components or assemblies as required with or without blueprints.
    • Work safely, following all policies and procedures
    • Effectively repair equipment the first time, and with little assistance from others.
    • Communicates information about equipment so that there is transfer of knowledge in regards to the operation of said equipment to machine operators. 
    • Communicate issues to plant management staff

    Qualifications

     Minimum of 2 year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field with at least 2+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing environment or within a military technical job field. 

                                                                                                                    -or-

                 3+ years of experience as maintenance technician in a industrial manufacturing environment.

    • Knowledgeable in hydraulics, pneumatics, basic mechanical (gearboxes, conveyors, cylinders, etc.), basic electrical (motors, drives, wiring, limit switches, etc.) and controls
    • Basic familiarity with PLC
    • Basic welding and cutting
    • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, CMMS)
